Cyber security perceptions and experiences in Cyprus
Cypriots in their majority appear to be concerned and fairly cautious about the dangers of cybercrime but only about half of them admit that they are informed about the risks surrounding cybercrime.
The results below display Cypriot citizens’ perceptions and experiences of cyber security as well as the internet habits of Cypriots; frequency and nature of internet usage, online activities conducted and devices used to access the internet.
The results are part of the Special Eurobarometer 423 – Cyber Security, which was carried out by TNS Opinion & Social Network in the 28 Member States of the European Union between the 11th and 20th of October 2014. In Cyprus, the fieldwork was conducted by CYMAR Market Research Ltd.
