Direction things are heading
More than half of Cypriots (55%) feel that things on the island are heading in a wrong direction, whereas some 42% feel that things are headed in a right direction.
Over time, expectations as to the direction things are heading towards have improved. A steady increase recorded between 2013 and 2016, however, appears to have plateaued showing little improvement from 2016 onwards.
Current issues of Cyprus society
The economic climate (66%) and unemployment (51%) remain the most troubling issues for Cypriots. Both issues, however, are being mentioned less and less as time goes by.

On the contrary, the other major issue on the island, the Cyprus problem, appears to be gaining prominence again over time, as the pressure from the financial crisis in 2013 is easing off.
